Today's news proclaimed what many of us probably already knew. Tablets, including the Ipad, Kindle Fire, and E-book readers, are growing faster than any other computer platform. According to an article on the CBC website, the percentage of Americans owning some sort of tablet or E-book reader jumped from 18 percent in December to 29 percent in January. And the story is likely the same in Canada. It seems many people found them in their stockings.
Adding Content: Static Content
Static content pages on your website are intended for content that seldom changes. Pages like About Us, or Where We Are Located are examples of static content. Static content is created in conjunction with menu items. It is a page or pages linked to menu items that usually appear in the side bar on the left, right or top of your front page.
In the back end of your site, from the menu bar at the top choose: Content > Static Content Manager

Click the New button
- Type in a Title (leave the Title Alias blank)
- Type the content you want in the text box.* Important: You must put some content (even just one word) into the text box in order for this content item to show on your front end.
- When finished click on the link to menu tab on the right hand side of the screen.
- select the menu of choice from the list
- type in the desired menu item name (whatever you want to show on the front page)
- Then click link to menu again.
Click the save button.
Then go to: Menu > Mainmenu.
Click the New
button.
From the Content Box, select Link - Static Content by clicking on the words.
An Add Menu Item dialog box will come up. Type in the menu name you want in the Name field. Then select the static content item you created for this menu item from the list in the Static Content box.
Click the Save

To see how your changes go to the front end of your site and refresh your screen. Your changes will appear.
* your administration session automatically expires after 30 minutes. To ensure that your work is being saved, as you enter it, click the apply button periodically. This will save your work in the back end without saving it in the front end.
