Professional Websites For Your Business

We work with you to develop a professional, affordable website with the features you need to advertise your business and serve your customers.

Audio

You can now create an audio library on your site using the RSGallery2 component. The component allows you to upload mp3 audio files to your site. You can add names and descriptions to the files which are then displayed on your site in an easy to use player.

Audio

Files uploaded to this component are required to be in MP3 format and should be approximately 20 MB in size.

NOTE: The MP3 file must be encoded at 44.1 kHz, or 22.05 kHz, or 11.025 kHZ; any other sampling rate may result in the "chipmunk effect.

Save MP3 files on your computer, then proceed to upload files to the component:

  1. Login to your administration site.
  2. Go to Components < RSGallery2 < Upload
  3. From the Select Gallery drop down box, choose Audio
  4. Type in a name for your audio file and a description of the file.
  5. Browse for your MP3 file.
  6. Click the 'Upload' button. Uploading may take some time depending on the file size. Please be patient.
  7. Go back to the Gallery Manager showing the listing of galleries.

At this point you must create a menu link for your audio component so it will show in the menu listing on the frontend of your site.

  • From the Control Panel in your Administration Site, choose Menus < Main Menu (or menu of choice)
  • Click the New button.
  • Choose type 'External Link'
  • Type in a Title for your audio menu.
  • Insert link name into the Link field:   index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&rsgTemplate=xspf&gid=12

Important: replace the last number in the above url with the the id # of the gallery you created in RSGallery2.

To add additional mp3 files to your audio gallery at a later date, repeat steps 1 - 7 above.

The Audio Component can also link to or be inserted into a Module or an Article.

1. Create a new Article or use an existing Article. Then insert the link into the text box of the article by first selecting text from the text box and then using the insert link tool. (The unbroken chain link)

Insert this url into the appropriate field in the pop up box : index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&rsgTemplate=xspf&gid=12

Important: replace the last number in the above url with the the id # of the gallery you created in RSGallery2.

2. Create a module into which you insert the link into the module content using the insert link tool.

News and Information

  • Today's news proclaimed what many of us probably already knew.  Tablets, including the Ipad, Kindle Fire, and E-book readers, are growing faster than any other computer platform.  According to an article on the CBC website, the percentage of Americans owning some sort of tablet or E-book reader jumped from 18 percent in December to 29 percent in January. And the story is likely the same in Canada.  It seems many people found them in their stockings.

  • Trinity Web Hosting has websites around the world, but we also like to support what's happening locally in Edmonton.  So, if you happen to be in Edmonton this next weekend, January 6-7, 2012.  Stop by the Deep Freeze Festival on 118th Avenue.  The Deep Freeze is sponsored by Arts On the Ave, and brings the whole community together for a weekend of winter fun.

Here's a brief description from the Arts on the Ave website.
